Meet our librarian
My name is Brenda Bayer, and this is my 3rd year as librarian at Ford Elementary. After 25 years in education, I am still excited for school to begin, and I expect this to be another wonderful year. I have two grown children, a wonderful husband and three precious grandchildren. I love working with kids and sharing my love of reading with them.
Programs
I am happy to bring various reading programs to our students. Reading programs and events spark interest and enthusiasm for reading and motivates children to read more. Look for different reading programs this year, such as Frog and Toad Reading Club, the Texas Bluebonnet contest, etc. I am in the process of planning an author visit, and also hope to bring Lucas Miller, the singing zoologist, back to Ford again this year.
